Daily Prayer

1st April 2020HANNAH ANGEL

Daily Prayer

Father, we seek Your wisdom daily. Be with people making decisions that affect the lives and futures of our families, communities, countries, and the wider world. We pray that they communicate clearly, truthfully, and calmly — with each other and with the public — and that their messages are received and heeded. May truth and empathy be the touchstones of people setting policies for our protection.

He has delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us again. On him we have set our hope that he will continue to deliver us, as you help us by your prayers …—2 Corinthians 1:10-11 (NIV)

Daily Prayer

30th March 2020HANNAH ANGEL
Today our prayer is focused on the rededication off England as the dowry off Mary. Richard II first dedicates England in this way in 1381 in a time of uncertainty and crisis, which certainly makes it seem more appropriate given what is currently happening than when it was first planned. Today we will use parts of the rededication prayer as our prayer as we ask Mary our mother to pray for us at this time.
Let us pray: O Holy Mother of God, pray for us, and assist us as we dedicate ourselves this day. Your Yes at the Annunciation brought our Saviour Jesus into the world, and you invite us to contemplate the great mystery of the Incarnation, sharing your joy in announcing that “the Word was made flesh and lived among us.” May our yes, this day, open our hearts to serve our sisters and brothers in this your Dowry, that they too may share our joy in the Good News that God walks among us. We make this prayer through Christ our Lord.
Amen
(Taken from the Angelus Promise prayer for the rededication)

Prayer for today (27.3.20)

A prayer for the world

God of love and hope, you made the world and care for all creation, but the world feels strange right now. The news is full of stories about Coronavirus. Some people are worried that they might get ill. Others are anxious for their family and friends.Be with them and help them to find peace. We pray for the doctors and nurses and scientists, and all who are working to discover the right medicines to help those who are ill. Thank you that even in these anxious times, you are with us. Help us to put our trust in you and keep us safe.

Amen

COVID-19 Update – 22nd March 2020

Following government guidelines we have been asked to keep the number of Frontline workers and vulnerable pupils in school tomorrow to an absolute minimum in line with the latest guidance.

In order to do so we will be contacting all parents / carers of these two groups today to ascertain if their children will be attending school on Monday or you have been able to make alternative arrangements.

A member of the senior leadership will contact you today.
