Monday 8th March: 3rd Sunday of Lent

Using the optional Gospel from Sunday’s Mass, our act of worship focuses on the story of the woman at the well. It reminds us that Jesus comes for all of us, no matter what our backgrounds are. We worship him in spirit and truth together.

This is our final video liturgy as, now that we are thankfully back together in school, we will worship live together. Prayer and worship resources will be shared regularly to support your prayer life at home.

 

Live-Streamed Mass

Mass is streamed each day live on YouTube from St. Mary’s Cathedral at 10am. The channel is called ‘Diocese of Middlesbrough’ and it is a welcome opportunity to pray and reflect during the morning.

As we cannot encounter Jesus in the Eucharist at the moment, we can make a prayer of spiritual communion instead:

My Jesus,
I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament.
I love You above all things,
and I desire to receive You into my soul.
Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally,
come at least spiritually into my heart.
I embrace You as if You were already there
and unite myself wholly to You.
Never permit me to be separated from You.

Amen.
