Daily Prayer 24.4.20

24th April 2020HANNAH ANGEL
Today let us pray for those who are ill at this time.
Merciful God,
we entrust to your tender care
those who are ill or in pain,
knowing that whenever danger threatens
your everlasting arms are there to hold them safe.
Comfort and heal them,
and restore them to health and strength;
through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen.

Daily Prayer 23.4.20

23rd April 2020HANNAH ANGEL
Today is the feast of St George, patron saint of England. Today we ask for his intercession for us at this difficult time for our country.

Heavenly Father, give us the bravery of St George to stand up for what we believe. Give us the strength to overcome the dragons in our lives and in the world.  And where we see people in distress, give us the compassion to help them.  Amen.

Daily Prayer 21.4.20

21st April 2020HANNAH ANGEL
A Prayer for Unity
Dear Lord,
thank you for giving us the strength to carry on through this time of stress and worry.
Please may you let out your call of relief and love to those around the world who have to stay by themselves.
May you let peace flow like a river and stay by everyone’s side, even if they feel poorly, because they are no different to anyone else in the world and community.
Give others the ability to always see the positive side even when there seems to be no light at the end of the long and winding tunnel.
Help those who sin against you and others because they may be struggling throughout this period of our lives.
Bind us together with your love and forgiveness today. Amen

Daily Prayer 20.4.20

20th April 2020HANNAH ANGEL
Love Overcame
Love overcame
Emerging from a cold tomb
All the truth, majesty and creativity of a living God
Transforming a broken heart
Making a quiet return, in a still and sorrowful garden
The grave stone rolled away, to release redemptive love
Jesus resurrected and restored
Comforts a weeping woman
Speaks with travellers on a journey
Meets with his faithful friends
And they bow down before Christ alive
And acknowledged that the saviour has arrived
That the word of God has come alive
And that the extraordinary transformation of heaven and earth
Is complete

Daily Prayer 9.4.20

9th April 2020HANNAH ANGEL

Lord God,

You sent your Son into the world, and before his hour had come, He washed his disciples’ feet. You had given all things into his hands. He had come from you, and was going to you, and what did he do? He knelt down on the floor, and washed his friends’ feet. He was their teacher and their Lord, yet he washed their feet. Lord God, help us learn from his example; help us to do as he has done for us. The world will know we are his disciples if we love one another. Strengthen our hands and our wills for love and for service. Keep before our eyes the image of your Son, who, being God, became a Servant for our sake. All glory be to him who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.

Amen.

Daily Prayer

8th April 2020HANNAH ANGEL

During Holy Week we think of the ways that you taught us to serve others and that we need to be open to looking at ways to serve. During this time let us see the little things we do for others as a call to serve and ask for God’s help and strength to keep on serving others as we go through life.

Amen

Daily Prayer

7th April 2020HANNAH ANGEL
Jesus, during Your ministry on Earth You showed Your power and caring by healing people of all ages and stations of life from physical, mental, and spiritual ailments. Be present now to people who need Your loving touch because of COVID-19. May they feel Your power of healing through the care of doctors and nurses.

Take away the fear, anxiety, and feelings of isolation from people receiving treatment or under quarantine. Give them a sense of purpose in pursuing health and protecting others from exposure to the disease. Protect their families and friends and bring peace to all who love them. Amen

Daily Prayer

6th April 2020HANNAH ANGEL

Dear all,

Today at the start of Holy Week our prayer today has been written by one of our pupils.
Let us pray
A prayer for unity
Dear Lord Jesus, we pray for peace, unity and reassurance, in this time of worry and doubt.
We pray that the vulnerable and sick are protected in their hour of need.
We pray that we can come together as a nation and fight this virus.
The world should not erupt in confusion or despair, but come together in the hope we can solve such problems with God holding each and every one of our hands.
Distress is probably the most common feeling in our world right now and we believe that your power and strength will help us to overcome this terrible feeling.
Please help us to overcome this worldwide problem and find light at the end of the tunnel. Amen
Written by one of our Year 6 pupils

What a fantastic two days at the Wilf Mannion Football Tournament!

Our Year 5 and 6 pupils enjoyed plenty of matches in the sunshine, showing great teamwork, determination and sportsmanship throughout. We are incredibly proud of the effort, attitude and support they showed for one another both on and off the pitch.

Well done to everyone who took part and a special thanks to all the organisers who put on a great event.
